Looking for a peaceful and serene newborn photoshoot in Bedford? Look no further!

My newborn photography sessions are designed to be a tranquil and calming experience. I believe in taking things slowly and creating a relaxed atmosphere where you can unwind and watch me capture stunning images that you will cherish for a lifetime.

During the session, the baby is in charge and we take our time to ensure they feel comfortable and content. The duration of the shoot can last around 3 hours. To give your little one the attention they deserve, I never schedule more than one session per day.

To capture your newborn in their most delicate and flexible state, it is recommended to have the photoshoot between 6-14 days of age when they tend to sleep more and can still be posed in those adorable positions.

Once we have discussed your baby’s settling-in process and feeding routine, we will have a better idea of what poses and workflow are feasible for your little one’s photoshoot.

Typically, we begin the session with a feeding to help the baby relax and doze off. We then move on to gentle poses while your baby becomes accustomed to our touch, gradually progressing through the session to capture stunning images.

Towards the end of the session, we often include some awake shots that are utterly charming. We welcome parents to participate in the photoshoot as it makes for a precious gift for your child. Don’t be afraid to jump in!

We strive to capture a diverse range of set-ups and poses during the session, but this is dependent on your baby’s mood and comfort level on the day.

If you have a particular pose or idea in mind, please let us know before the session, and we will do our best to capture it for you.

Newborn Photoshoots Bedford – Pricing

A £50 deposit is taken at the time of booking to secure your photoshoot which is deducted from your chosen package. Additional prints and products are available to purchase if required.

There is no need to choose a package yet. Approximately 2 weeks after your session, I will schedule an online viewing and ordering appointment. Here you will have the opportunity to view your gallery and decide on which packages and products suit you best.

How do I book a newborn photoshoot?

Firstly, fill in our contact form below and let us know when your due date is. If we have availability and you would like to secure a session, we will take a £50 non-refundable deposit. This deposit is deducted from your chosen package which you will choose after your session has taken place

What if my baby is late?

As I’m sure you’ve heard, babies rarely arrive on their due date! In fact, only 4% of babies arrive on their actual due date. For this reason, we do not book in a specific date at the time of booking. All ask is that you let me know as soon as possible after your baby has been born so that I can give you the most flexible date options within the first 14 days.

Where will the photoshoot take place?

All newborn photoshoots take place in the comfort of my home studio based in Fairfield Park. I have a large comfortable space with a professional light set up. To find out more about the space please see about me.

How long will the photoshoot take?

A newborn photoshoot is entirely baby led and as such, can take 3-4 hours. This allows time for lots of cuddle breaks, nappy changes and feeding time. We will go at your baby’s pace and I will never rush them into a pose. I take a calm, slow approach. You are welcome to bring something to do – a book to read, a tablet to watch Netflix or even catch up on a bit of sleep!

How many images will I get?

I aim to provide a full gallery containing 20-25 carefully selected images for you to choose from. You are then able to choose how many images you wish to purchase – I have packages containing, 5, 10, or all the images included. The final decision on how many images you keep it up to you.

When will my images be ready?

I aim to have your images ready for viewing around 14 days after your session. After your viewing, please allow a further 14 days for your order to arrive and be ready for collection.

Can I purchase additional products?

In addition to our packages, you can also purchase additional prints and wall art. If you are interested in these we can discuss this at your viewing appointment.
