We understand that as a new parent, you may feel unsure about how the newborn session will work. But, rest assured that we will guide you every step of the way to ensure that you have a positive and stress-free experience.

Baby Photoshoot Hitchin – The Beginning

If you’ve read all the information on newborn photography, you will already know that newborn photoshoots take place when your baby is under 2 weeks old.

You may already know that newborns are easiest to photograph during this time, as they tend to sleep more soundly and are more flexible for those adorable poses you may have seen in our portfolio. As your baby grows and develops, they become more alert and their sleep patterns may change, making it harder to capture those sleepy, curled-up poses that are so precious.

Why is this important? Some poses, like the ones below, are only possible to achieve when your baby is sleeping soundly.

We understand that your newborn photoshoot is likely to be one of the first outings for you and your baby, which is why we have designed our space to be a safe and comfortable environment where you can relax and enjoy the experience.

From the moment you step into our home studio, you will immediately feel a sense of calm. Our space is designed with your comfort in mind, so you can feel at ease during the entire session.

Our goal is to create a warm and inviting atmosphere, where you and your newborn can feel comfortable and secure. We want to ensure that your first outing with your baby is a positive and memorable one.

Baby Photoshoot Hitchin – Creating the magic

This is where the fun begins!  

If your baby is already asleep, we will start with the sleepy poses like below:

If they aren’t asleep but are settled, we will start with some lovely awake poses like these:

Whilst you relax, I will get to work creating beautiful photographs of your baby.

Before the session, we will have discussed your preferences, including any specific colors or props you would like us to use. We will then progress through the session, changing backdrops and props as needed to create a beautiful collection of images for you to cherish.

We believe in a “baby led” approach to newborn photography, which means that we will adapt and modify the session as we go along to cater for the needs of your baby. 

All through the session, I will be monitoring your baby.  

I will be making sure they are safe, comfortable and settled.   

We may need to stop for a nappy change.

We may need to stop for a feed.

We may need to stop just because your baby wants to be close to you for a while.

That’s all perfectly normal . This is why we call it a  “baby led” session.

I will adapt and modify the session as we go along to cater for the needs of YOUR baby.  

Baby Photoshoots – Your turn!

Just when you think we have enough photographs already – there is always time for a few more.

Your turn.

As we near the end of the session, I want to make sure that we capture this moment of pure joy and love forever. Don’t worry, I promise it won’t take long.

I know you might be feeling tired or self-conscious, but trust me when I say that these photos will be treasured memories for years to come. 

You may think that you’ll have plenty of opportunities to take photos with your baby in the future but, time goes by so quickly and these precious moments will soon become memories.

You don’t need to pose or worry about looking perfect. Just hold your baby close, breathe in their sweet scent and let me capture the magic of this moment. Your love for your baby is what makes you truly beautiful, and that’s what I want to capture in these photos.

When you look back on these images in the future, you will be transported back to this moment and remember the overwhelming love and joy that you felt holding your newborn. And for your child, these photos will be a treasure to cherish and hold onto as they grow up.

So let’s take a few more photos, just you and your little one, and create some beautiful memories that will last a lifetime.

What happens after your newborn baby photoshoot?

Once your newborn session is complete, the fun doesn’t stop there! We will schedule a time for us to connect via video call so you can view your images and choose your favorite ones to create your personalized package.

During this viewing session, we will go through all your images and I will guide you through the different packages available. You can choose from a range of products, including digital files, prints, and canvases to display in your home.

I will also take payment during this session, so you won’t have to worry about anything else but waiting for your beautiful products to arrive.
